About La Cañada Flintridge

The affluent neighborhood of La Cañada Flintridge is home to some of the areas highest-ranking public schools and has a great community that still retains a "small-town" vibe.  Originally named Rancho La Cañada, the area was made up of two district communities: La Cañada (areas north of Foothill Blvd.), and Flintridge (areas south of Foothill Blvd.). The community was incorporated in 1976 and the name merged into what we now know it to be, La Cañada Flintridge.  Some points of interest in the community are:  Descanso Gardens, the historic Lanterman House and NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL).
